WC Product Engineer

A growth-oriented Product Engineer role for engineers who turn business needs into useful, reliable software. The role combines product thinking, full-stack implementation, engineering fundamentals, thoughtful AI-assisted development, and ownership of quality from requirements through validation.

Responsibilities

• Product/business alignment: clarify user needs, business rules, success measures, and release scope.
• End-to-end implementation: build interfaces, backend behavior, APIs, and persistent data.
• Engineering quality: implement validation, error handling, tests, and reliable workflows.
• AI-assisted development: contextualize, review, and correct or reject unsafe generated code.
• Security boundaries: enforce authentication/authorization, protect private data, and secure critical decisions server-side.
• Technical judgment/delivery: weigh trade-offs; document setup, tests, limits, and launch steps.
• Collaboration and communication: explain decisions, respond to feedback, and adapt to changing requirements.
  
  

• Hands-on software experience and clear ownership of personally designed, implemented, or improved work.
• Sound software foundations, including APIs, data modeling, authentication, authorization, and integrations.
• Assess user/business needs, prioritize an initial release, and define testable acceptance criteria.
• Working knowledge of version control, testing, and application setup or deployment workflows.
  
  

• AI-tool use or willingness to demonstrate reviewing and validating generated work.
