The Technical Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and reliability of all mall equipment, systems, and related projects. This role oversees compliance with engineering standards, evaluates vendor and contractor outputs, and implements quality control processes throughout project execution and operations. The engineer will also provide technical support, testing, and audit functions to ensure all equipment and projects meet regulatory and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance & Control
• Develop, implement, and monitor QA/QC procedures for mall equipment and technical projects.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, fire protection, vertical transportation, and other mall systems.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and project plans to ensure alignment with quality and safety standards.
• Project Monitoring
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure adherence to quality benchmarks during construction, installation, and turnover.
• Identify and report non-conformances, and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
• Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation such as inspection reports, punch lists, and test certificates.
• Vendor & Contractor Coordination
• Evaluate and qualify vendors, contractors, and suppliers based on technical capability and compliance with standards.
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure deliverables meet company requirements.
• Regulatory & Safety Compliance
• Ensure all equipment and systems comply with local codes, statutory requirements, and environmental/safety standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and support safety audits.
• Operational Support
• Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment-related issues.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance programs through QA validation.
  
  

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Licensed Engineer
• 2-3 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control, preferably in construction, real estate, or facilities management.
• Strong knowledge of mall equipment and systems (elevators, escalators, HVAC, generators, fire detection/suppression, electrical distribution, plumbing, etc.).
• Familiarity with local and international standards (e.g., ISO, NFPA, ASHRAE, local building/fire codes).
• Proficient in QA tools, documentation, and reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to enforce standards diplomatically.
