Tax supervisor

Tax filing, accounting, and regulatory compliance

• Reviews tax returns and related tax attachments
• Oversees the renewal of Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and Local Government Units (LGU) registrations
• Reviews the financial statements and other requirements and oversees the submission thereof
• Oversees registration of new companies, winding down, and retirement of businesses, as needed

Tax audit and advisor

• Resolution and management of BIR audits, assessments, and notices
• Proactively plans compliant tax reporting and leads effective response to BIR assessment
• Provides a timely response to any tax queries related to business transactions
• Provides tax advice and implements applicable tax issuances and rulings
• Implements process improvement measures in ensuring full tax compliance, while still taking into consideration opportunities for value creation
• Financial statement analysis and tax advisory
• Maps, orchestrates, and develops the company’s posture towards local business taxes, real property taxes, and franchise taxes

Tax planning and strategies

• Determines the tax risks and exposures and recommends corrective measures
• Identifies tax savings and suggests ways to increase profits
• Liaise with internal and external auditors

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 4 years of working experience in Taxation
• At least 1 year of being a team leader or people manager
• A professional license in Accountancy (CPA) is preferred but not required
• A degree in Accountancy, Business, and Financial Management is required
• Proficiency with the SAP accounting system is an advantage
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills are required
• Experience in compliance with different regulatory and government agencies
• Effective communicator - verbal and written
