Systems Specialist Network

What is the Job all about?

This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity and secure data transmission across all systems. The position includes developing resilient architectures, resolving complex technical issues, upgrading network technologies, and protecting the environment from cyber threats. Beyond technical responsibilities, the role also supports the growth of junior engineers and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure network performance aligns with overall business objectives.

Your main responsibilities:

• Provide escalation support and resolve complex network issues.
• Support and maintain global network infrastructure across private and public cloud environments.
• Adhere to established Network Architecture standards.
• Prepare, test, and configure network infrastructure for new or updated designs and hardware deployments (Cisco routers/switches, firewalls, load balancers).
• Perform advanced configuration and implementation of routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, ALBs/ELBs, gateways, and security groups.
• Configure advanced network technologies including VPN (IPSec & SSL), OSPF/BGP routing, VLANs, 802.1q/802.1x, STP, VRRP, HSRP, and security/firewall policies.
• Participate in Incident, Problem, Service, and Change Management activities.
• Support root cause analysis with the Problem Management team.
• Ensure lifecycle management of all Configuration Items (CIs).
• Maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Develop migration and implementation procedures to ensure network stability.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure safe, efficient use of systems and comply with company policies and standards.
  
  

Your background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in network engineering or IT infrastructure roles.
• Proven experience in positions such as Network Administrator, Network Analyst, or Network Technician.
• Preferred certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCSA, CCSE; cloud credentials (Azure, AWS); and firewall certifications (Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Juniper).
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate effectively across teams to support business objectives.
