Software Engineer Tekla Structures

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer specializing in Tekla Structures to design, develop, and optimize custom applications, plugins, and workflows. The role focuses on enhancing productivity, accuracy, and efficiency across design, detailing, and manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will bridge software development with practical engineering applications, driving innovation in our digital ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Training or certification in Tekla Structures / BIM-related software is highly preferred.
• Experienced in research & development or software optimization projects within engineering, construction, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong programming skills in C#, .NET, Python, or Tekla Open API.
• Familiarity with Tekla Structures, including customization and integration.
• Understanding of BIM standards, digital modelling, and data exchange formats (e.g., IFC, Revit interoperability).
• Experience with database integration, cloud applications, or automation workflows is highly desirable.
• Ability to independently lead R&D projects and translate ideas into practical software solutions.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of rebar design, detailing, or manufacturing processes is an advantage but not essential.
  
  
  

• Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks by developing custom applications, scripts, and plugins within Tekla Structures to improve productivity and accuracy.
• Lead the design and development of software tools to optimize the digital ecosystem across detailing, estimation, production planning, and manufacturing.
• Collaborate with detailing, engineering, and IT teams to ensure software solutions align with operational needs.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies and software solutions relevant to structural engineering and rebar manufacturing.
• Maintain, upgrade, and ensure compatibility of in-house applications with the latest Tekla Structures versions.
• Provide technical support and training to users on developed software solutions.
• Ensure all software solutions comply with industry standards, cybersecurity protocols, and company IT guidelines.
• Document code, processes, and workflows for scalability and future reference.
• Drive continuous improvement in digital engineering practices and innovation across the organization.
