Shopify Developer

Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our Shopify-based e-commerce website. You will collaborate closely with the marketing and design teams to ensure the website reflects our brands image and provides an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Website Development:
• Build and customize Shopify themes and templates to meet the companys design and functionality requirements.
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure the website is user-friendly, up-to-date in form and function, and uniform in look and operation on various devices and screen sizes.
• Research to stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in E-commerce and Web development through continuous learning and professional development
• E-commerce Functionality:
• Set up and manage product catalogs, including product descriptions, images, prices, and variants.
• Implement and optimize e-commerce features like shopping carts, checkout processes, and payment gateways.
• Integrate third-party applications and plugins to enhance website functionality (e.g., inventory management, customer reviews, and email marketing).
• Design Integration:
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure the websites appearance aligns with the companys brand guidelines.
• Implement and maintain visual elements, including images, graphics, and multimedia content.
• Performance Optimization:
• Monitor website performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve loading times and overall performance.
• Implement SEO best practices to optimize the website for search engines.
• Security and Maintenance:
• Ensure the website is secure and up-to-date by regularly applying patches and updates.
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning.
• Testing and Quality Assurance:
• Conduct thorough website testing to identify and resolve any bugs or issues.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure compatibility.
• Documentation:
• Maintain detailed documentation of the size and structure of custom code, configurations, and integrations for future reference.
• Training and Support:
• Provide training and support to internal teams on using the Shopify platform and related tools.
  

• Proven experience as a Shopify Developer with a strong portfolio of Shopify-based e-commerce websites.
• Self-starter.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify Liquid template language.
• Knowledge of responsive web design principles.
• Familiarity with Shopify Plus and its advanced features (if applicable).
• Experience with SEO best practices and optimization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
