Stock Management and Logistics Manager
Key Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Stock Governance: Oversee end-to-end inventory movement to maintain optimal stock levels while ensuring cost-efficiency and quality standards.
Operational Leadership: Direct all Warehouse and Logistics activities to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient delivery of goods.
Logistics Sourcing: Canvass and select local/international carriers and 3PL partners based on cost, delivery records, and service quality.
Contract Negotiation: Secure beneficial freight rates, warehouse leases, and SLAs to optimize logistics spend.
Inventory Forecasting: Analyze data to forecast stock needs, preventing stockouts and overstocking through strategic planning.
Financial Control: Manage the logistics budget, ensuring all stock acquisitions and transport expenses are authorized and tracked.
KPI Management: Develop and monitor metrics for order fulfillment, warehouse utilization, and transit efficiency.
Logistics RFQ & Bidding: Lead the RFQ process for logistics services and equipment, evaluating bids for fleet and warehouse needs.
System Integrity: Maintain 100% data transparency within (Stock up) for all inventory records and logistics documentation.
Relationship Management: Build strategic partnerships with freight forwarders and internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless supply chain.
Quality Assurance: Resolve issues regarding shipping damages or defective goods by implementing corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
Resource Tracking: Monitor logistics resources, including fleet fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance, and warehouse utility usage.
Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, international trade regulations, and supplier accreditation policies.
Do you have what it takes? If you want to be considered for this role, you will need:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business (Master’s/MBA preferred).
Experience: 8–10 years in stock management and logistics, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Inventory Mastery: Expert knowledge of inventory control, demand forecasting, and multi-site stock accuracy.
Logistics Knowledge: Deep understanding of shipping regulations, customs documentation, and 3PL management.
Technical Skills: High proficiency in MSand advanced Excel for data modeling.
Financial Acumen: Proven ability in budget preparation, logistics cost control, and resource tracking.
Analytical Mindset: Ability to design and report on complex KPIs to drive operational efficiency.
Problem Solving: Sharp capability to investigate supply chain disruptions and implement preventative actions.
Leadership: Expert at managing large teams and enforcing safety and compliance standards.
