We are seeking for a detail-oriented and highly experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to own and manage end-to-end payroll operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing while working independently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with deep payroll expertise, strong systems knowledge (including Rippling), and a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full payroll cycle from preparation through post-payroll reconciliation for multi-state employees
• Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll using Rippling, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Maintain payroll records, including earnings, deductions, benefits, taxes, and garnishments
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements
• Reconcile payroll accounts and support month-end and year-end close processes
• Partner with HR and Finance on onboarding, offboarding, compensation changes, and benefits administration
• Prepare payroll reports and analytics for management
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and controls
• Serve as the internal subject matter expert on payroll systems and best practices
  
  

Non Negotiables

• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, preferably in a high-growth or multi-entity organization
• Hands-on experience with Rippling (or similar modern payroll platforms)
• Proficiency in Excel and payroll reporting tools
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
