Get to Know the Team

The Regional Market Insights Team helps influence Grabs strategic and operational decisions by offering insights on industry developments and competitive dynamics. We evaluate the landscape through diverse lenses and complement traditional market research and analysis with innovative techniques. Our team comprises individuals from varied backgrounds, each bringing a unique set of experiences and skills to the table. If you excel at teamwork, proactive, and is comfortable working in a solutions-oriented environment, you would grow in this role.

Get to Know the Role

You will be in a position of Competitive Strategy. You will gather raw market data, interpreting intel and data collected and translating it into relevant recommendations that shape Grabs operational direction.

You will be directly reporting to the Head, Market Insights.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Conduct comprehensive competitive landscape analysis by:
• Interpret trends and insights derived from quantitative data and performance metrics.
• Monitor industry developments and activities to identify important movements and opportunities.
• Perform financial analysis of main industry players to gain a deeper understanding of their market positioning and strategies.
• Synthesize observations and insights, crafting strategic narratives that connect the dots across the competitive landscape.
• Assess potential threats and opportunities, providing strategic recommendations to drive Grabs strategic and operational decision-making processes.
• Lead and manage a small team responsible for designing, implementing, and ensuring the accuracy of data collection and validation workflows.
• Drive interdepartmental collaboration by managing projects and aligning objectives across multiple teams and departments.
  

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• At least three years of working experience
• Critical thinking skills, with the ability to logically break down and analyze complex problems.
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying, wrangling, and analysis
• Simplify complex concepts and effectively key partners and customers.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to other countries or cities within Philippines
• Familiarity with the ride-hailing and food delivery industries is a strong plus.
• Solid understanding of statistics is advantageous
