PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP Business Area Controlling (BAC) Sales is a key driver of the standardization and harmonization of controlling processes and tools across SAP’s controlling community. To achieve this, strong interaction and alignment with stakeholders such as regional BAC organizations and global controlling units is essential. In addition, BAC Sales (Controlling Cross team) supports the regional leadership teams in EMEA, MEE, APAC, and the Americas in management and steering activities, including ownership of the monthly forecast process as well as the annual budgeting and planning cycle.
To successfully manage these responsibilities and further strengthen our support for our stakeholders, we are looking for a (Senior) Controller with professional experience, preferably gained in an international company.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities
- Prepare forecasts and budgets for topline (bookings, renewal, and churn) as well as segment and channel
- Proactively interact and collaborate with regional stakeholders
- Prepare reports and analyses for various stakeholders
- Support projects to standardize and harmonize controlling processes and tools
Education And Qualifications / Skills And Competencies
- University degree (or equivalent), preferably with a focus on finance and controlling
- Excellent analytical skills and strong problem-solving ability
- Comfortable working both in a team and independently, demonstrating strong initiative
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
- Experience with SAP products (e.g., SAP CO/FI, Business Warehouse)
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Good understanding of IT business models
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to work under stress and time pressure
- Fluency in spoken and written English
Work Experience
- 2–5 years of professional experience, with a focus on controlling and accounting processes
