Senior Backend Cloud Developer C Azure

What is the Job all about?

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Backend Engineer to join our product team. This role involves co-designing and co-implementing scalable, secure, and efficient services for a high-throughput, highly transactional application with database storage. As part of our DevSecOps-focused team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the development of robust and secure solutions, leveraging modern cloud technologies and best practices.

Your main responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain secure, high-performance microservices using industry best practices.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Azure DevOps, ensuring smooth deployment and release processes.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure with Azure-specific resources for efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate on the design and implementation of service architecture, adhering to DevSecOps principles.
• Monitor and troubleshoot high-throughput applications to ensure performance and reliability.
• Dockerize, deploy, and scale services using Kubernetes, with a focus on structured logging and observability (e.g., Prometheus metrics, distributed tracing with OpenTelemetry).
• Contribute to designing and implementing messaging and storage solutions for transactional systems.
  
  

Your background:

• University or college degree in computer science or related field.
• Strong experience in secure coding practices and design principles.
• Expertise in microservice architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with event streaming technologies like Azure Service Bus/EventHub and Apache Kafka
• Proficiency in Azure cloud technologies, including:
  
• Azure Functions
• Azure Storage Account (table storage)
• Azure Redis Cache
• Azure CosmosDB
• Azure KeyVault
• Azure PostgreSQL
• Azure AppConfiguration (dynamic configurations and feature flagging)
  
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes for containerization, deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
• Proficient in structured logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, OpenTelemetry).
• Experience with C#, REST APIs, backend messaging services, and version control (Git, especially Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Proven experience in building and maintaining high-throughput applications
  
  

Desirable Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience with Kafka for real-time streaming and messaging.
• Familiarity with observability platforms like DataDog.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
• Prior experience with high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
