What is the Job all about?

The Purchasing Specialist drives value-based sourcing, operational excellence, and sustainability while optimizing TCO and supporting digital initiatives across logistics and procurement.

Your main responsibilities:

Provide support related to sourcing and relationship activities in close cooperation with the Category Managers.

  • Collaborate with Category Managers on sourcing and relationship activities.
  • Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies using advanced purchasing tools.
  • Prepare data and fact packs for supplier negotiations.
  • Conduct market intelligence research to identify cost drivers, trends, and best practices.
  • Drive value and savings delivery within assigned categories.
  • Optimize supplier portfolios and manage tendering processes.
  • Assist in contract creation and management, ensuring compliance and transparency.
  • Provide reporting and data visibility through SAP TM, S2P, and support CoE Logistics initiatives.
  • Facilitate supplier business reviews and maintain preferred supplier lists.
  • Support supplier performance assessment and development programs.

Your background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, commerce, engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of professional experience within logistics sourcing.
  • Knowledge of best practices and relevant systems for business support.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking; proficiency in Excel and/or Power BI preferred.
  • Result- and action-oriented mindset. Familiarity with SAP TM, S2P, and digital procurement tools is a plus.
  • Expected travel: maximum 10%.
