Project Vendor Management Specialist

Vendor Management Specialist is responsible for supporting project governance, performance tracking, and coordination related to external vendors. This role ensures that vendor-delivered projects and services align with organizational standards, timelines, budgets, and contractual obligations. The role serves as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and vendors to drive delivery excellence, risk management, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage vendor-related IT projects by tracking project plans, milestones, deliverables, documentation, and ensuring compliance with PMO standards and governance.
• Monitor vendor performance against SLAs, KPIs, and contractual commitments, while facilitating performance reviews and resolving issues.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across IT, business units, procurement, and vendors to ensure technical solutions and project deliverables align with business objectives.
• Track project portfolio, risks, budgets, and contracts, including project prioritization, issue escalation, budget monitoring, and contract compliance.
  
  

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Management, Engineering or related field.
• 25+ years of experience in PMO, project management, or vendor management.
• Experience working with external vendors/service providers is preferred.
• Exposure to project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
• Familiarity with process management methods that support re-engineering, problem solving and organizational change
• Proficient in Microsoft Office productivity tools
• Excellent documentation skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
