Job Description

Were looking for a Product Designer with strong UI/UX skills to design new features for our app from concept to launch. Youll turn business and user needs into clear flows, mockups, prototypes, and functional requirement documents (FRDs), working closely with product leaders and stakeholders.

This role is hands-on: youll interview stakeholders, research competitors, design beautiful and usable interfaces, and present your work for alignment and approval.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Discovery & Research

  • Meet with the Product Leader and key stakeholders to clarify goals, constraints, and success metrics for each feature.
  • Conduct competitive and comparative research on similar products/features (flows, patterns, visual styles, pricing/positioning if relevant).
  • Identify user pain points and opportunities through existing data, feedback, and (when applicable) user interviews or usability tests.

UX / Interaction Design

  • Translate requirements into user journeys, flows, and wireframes for mobile and/or web app features.
  • Design intuitive information architecture, navigation, and interaction patterns.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to ensure designs are feasible and aligned with technical constraints.

UI Design & Prototyping

  • Create high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes (e.g., in Figma, Sketch, XD, etc.) that clearly communicate behavior, states, and transitions.
  • Apply and evolve our design system (components, typography, colors, grids) for consistency and scalability.
  • Prepare design assets and specifications for handoff to engineering.

Documentation (FRDs)

  • Write clear and structured Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs) for features you design, including:
  • Feature overview & objectives
  • User stories / use cases
  • Screens & states (linked to mockups)
  • Interaction details & edge cases
  • Dependencies and assumptions
  • Keep FRDs and design documentation up to date as features evolve.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

  • Facilitate requirements-gathering conversations with product, business, and technical stakeholders.
  • Present concepts, mockups, and prototypes to stakeholders, clearly explaining:
  • The problem being solved
  • Design rationale and trade-offs
  • How it supports product and business goals
  • Incorporate feedback thoughtfully while protecting usability and design quality.
  • Work closely with engineers during implementation; support design QA to ensure the built product matches the design intent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer / UI/UX Designer working on digital products (web or mobile apps).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end feature design: from problem definition and research through wireframes, UI, and shipped product.
  • Advanced skills in UI/UX tools such as Figma (preferred), Sketch, or Adobe XD.
  • Demonstrated experience in:
  • Creating user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
  • Designing for mobile and/or web applications
  • Running basic competitive research and synthesizing findings
  • Experience writing or contributing to functional requirement documents (FRDs) or similar product specs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Solid understanding of design principles (typography, layout, color, hierarchy) and UX best practices.
