Job Description

The Procurement Officer (Sourcing & Analytics) supports the category management team by performing basic data management, spend analysis, and supplier research. This role helps ensure that sourcing decisions are backed by accurate data and clear insights.


Data Management & Reporting

  • Collects, organizes, and updates procurement and supplier data to keep databases and spreadsheets accurate and current.
  • Prepares basic spend reports and summaries for review by Category Managers.
  • Maintains price lists, supplier information, and documentation of cost changes.
  • Assists in maintaining dashboards and tracking reports used for category planning.


Analytical Support

  • Performs initial data analysis such as price comparisons, spend breakdowns, and trend checks.
  • Supports should‑cost or cost breakdown exercises by gathering relevant data and validating assumptions.
  • Helps identify initial observations or data trends that may indicate savings or improvement opportunities.

Supplier & Market Research

  • Conducts supplier research, profiles potential vendors, and gathers publicly available supplier capability information.
  • Monitors essential market indicators such as commodity price movements or industry updates using standard sources.
  • Supports supplier performance tracking by updating scorecards and recording service or pricing‑related issues.


Sourcing Administration Support

  • Assists in preparing documents and data for sourcing events (e.g., RFI, RFQ, RFP).
  • Compiles supplier responses and organizes data for evaluation by the Category Manager.
  • Tracks sourcing timelines, documentation, and follow‑up requirements as needed.


Stakeholder Coordination & Process Support

  • Works closely with Category Managers to provide requested data or research.
  • Coordinates with internal teams to gather information needed for analysis or category reviews.
  • Helps maintain procurement files, documentation, and process templates.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, or Accounting.
  • Open to fresh college graduates.
  • Comfortable working with data, numbers, and spreadsheets, with good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good command of English language; can communicate well with other divisions and departments, contractors and suppliers.
  • Willing to be assigned in Ortigas, Pasig (hybrid set-up).
