Job Description

The PMO Analyst plays a key role in supporting the financial governance and strategic portfolio management of our Enterprise PMO. This position focuses on financial modeling, project performance tracking, and data-driven insights to help maximize ROI across company initiatives. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial transparency and enable informed decision-making across the project portfolio.


🔑 Key Responsibilities

Financial Modeling & Analysis

  • Develop and maintain ROI models, business case templates, and investment evaluation frameworks
  • Support strategic initiative assessments with data-backed financial insights


Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Help implement and operate earned value management (EVM) systems
  • Track project performance against budget and schedule
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including cost variance monitoring


Capital Planning & Risk Assessment

  • Support capital planning aligned with corporate financial objectives
  • Assist in financial risk assessments and mitigation planning for major initiatives


Portfolio & Data Analysis

  • Gather, analyze, and present portfolio data for leadership reviews
  • Support optimization of resource allocation and portfolio value


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Finance and PMO stakeholders to align project budgets with corporate goals
  • Design and track financial performance metrics that demonstrate value creation


🎓 Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related quantitative field
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, PMP with strong financial focus) are a plus


Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years in financial analysis, business intelligence, or data-focused roles
  • Experience in a project-driven environment or PMO preferred
  • Strong background in financial modeling and reporting


Skills

  • Advanced Excel proficiency (required)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) and PPM tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Wrike, Jira Align) is a plus
  • Solid understanding of earned value management (EVM) principles
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong data accuracy and integrity
  • Proven ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
