We are seeking a caring and professional Nurse Coordinator in our Contact Center to provide patient support over the phone. We are adding to our team of highly capable nurses to support the growth of our patient support services offerings. This opportunity is a work-at-home/virtual position. You will handle a high volume of outbound and inbound calls and create a positive experience for each caller. You will follow a script to provide information about clinical research studies and help determine each patient’s eligibility for the study opportunity. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail oriented, efficient, able to multi-task and reliable. This position will allow you to provide support and hope to patients from the comfort and safety of your own home. 

Nurse Coordinator responsibilities include: 

  • Make outbound calls and take inbound calls from patients and caregivers who have expressed interest in participating in specific clinical research studies to provide further information and determine eligibility. 

  • Adhering to an 8 hour, 5 days a week schedule which includes 2 x 15-minute breaks and 1 x 30-minute lunch. 

  • Being comfortable with technology by navigating and accurately entering data into the computer software while on the phone with patients. Follow the appropriate script and procedure per training to assist patients and caregivers. Engage in active listening with callers, confirming or clarifying information as needed. 

  • Determine eligibility by comparing patient information to requirements. 

  • Document details of all conversations in our online system in a comprehensible way. 

  • Identify and process escalations according to standard procedures. 

  • Complete client and company-required training. 

  

Qualifications include: 

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification required. US-based credentials preferred. 

  • Call Center OR Telenursing Experience a plus. 

  • Fluency in English required. Fluency in Spanish a plus. 

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a professional environment required; experience in a clinical environment preferred. 

  • Have a clear speaking voice as well as the ability to clearly enunciate and pronounce complex medical terms. 

  • Excellent time management and attention to detail. 

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment 

  • Have a quiet, professional in-home workplace. 

  • Access to a computer with Broadband Internet Access (*high speed internet access is NOT provided or reimbursed by the company). 

  • High proficiency using online systems and tools.
