Logistics Analyst Manila Team Supervisor

Position Summary

The Logistics Analyst – Manila Team Supervisor is a data-driven role responsible for analyzing freight performance, improving margin outcomes, and ensuring financial accuracy across logistics operations. This position emphasizes advanced analytics, reporting, and business insight generation, while also providing day-to-day guidance to a small team. The ideal candidate will leverage data to identify trends, solve problems, and drive measurable improvements in cost, service, and profitability.

Analytics & Business Insights (Primary Focus)

• Analyze shipping costs, revenue, and carrier performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve profitability
• Develop and maintain models to evaluate freight pricing, margins, and cost drivers
• Identify margin leakage and recommend data-driven corrective actions
• Perform root cause analysis on operational and financial discrepancies
• Conduct monthly audits of program freight business to identify margin gaps and implement improvements
• Design and maintain reports and dashboards tracking KPIs (cost per shipment, margin performance, service levels)
• Prepare monthly performance reporting with clear insights and actionable recommendations (not just data summaries)
• Partner with leadership to support decision-making through data analysis and scenario modeling
  
  

• Manage month-end logistics accruals to support accurate financial close
• Produce and validate month-end sales data reporting for critical billings
• Ensure alignment between operational data and financial reporting
• Continuously improve data accuracy, reporting processes, and transparency
  
  

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure adherence to processes impacting freight profitability
• Analyze carrier and operational performance data to drive service and cost improvements
• Identify and implement process improvements, including automation and reporting enhancements
• Support cross-functional projects and ad hoc business analysis
  
  

• Provide day-to-day guidance and task coordination for a small Manila-based team
• Support training and development to improve team analytical and operational capabilities
• Ensure accuracy, accountability, and timely execution of assigned responsibilities

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis); experience with reporting or visualization tools preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data mining and trend analysis

• Experience in logistics, supply chain, or a data-driven operational environment ideal
• Strong attention to detail and ownership of data accuracy
• Effective communication skills, including presenting insights to stakeholders
