Jr Accountant

Loft is looking for a Junior Accountant who will maintain and record day-to-day financial transactions for assigned clients, including but not limited to accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), payroll, and tax compliance. The Junior Accountant is expected to ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded, properly documented, and compliant with regulatory requirements, while addressing discrepancies and concerns in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Record day-to-day financial transactions for sales, purchases, and payroll in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain and update books of accounts in compliance with BIR requirements
• Verify, reconcile, and ensure completeness of supporting documents for all transactions
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and year-end financial reports, including adjusting entries and reconciliations
• Generate and analyze reports from the accounting system to support financial reviews
• Prepare and issue BIR Form 2307 and assist in the preparation and filing of tax reports
• Support client onboarding and account management, ensuring smooth service delivery
• Coordinate with internal teams and respond to client inquiries professionally and promptly
• Identify and escalate discrepancies, issues, and concerns as needed
• Participate in process improvements, data analysis, and reporting initiatives
• Support documentation, system updates, and workflow enhancements
• Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Finance Manager and team leads
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with BIR tax compliance and reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms) and MS Excel.
