Job Description

The Instructional Designer, Sales Enablement is responsible for assisting the Aptean Account Management and Partner Sales teams in meeting their sales objectives through the development, delivery and management of process and product training, content and tools. This person works cross-functionally to ensure that new sales content and tools align with the corporate strategy, sales process and selling skills methodologies at Aptean. As a key contributor to the Sales Enablement team, the Instructional Designer, Sales Enablement is focused on supporting the key existing programs for the Account Management and Partner Sales teams and helping to define new ones as necessary.

  • Knowledge: Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Complexity: Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
  • Supervision: Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Create, package and implement high-value, easy-to-use sales tools (sales guides, playbooks, training decks, presentations, etc.) and process documentation to support strategic sales enablement initiatives
  • Gather insights, feedback, and best practices while building solid relationships with the sales team, sales leadership, and executive management
  • Continually measure and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvements
  • Work with Sales Enablement leaders to help define strategic goals and measurements for Account Management and Partner Sales teams
  • Partner with senior leaders and management to understand their needs and manage their expectations
  • Create and drive adoption of content, resources, tools, sales communications and training materials to create a consistent message
  • Participate in cross-functional internal team meetings to manage status of deliverables and share feedback.
  • Actively participate in and identifies opportunities for efficiencies, automation, standardization and ways to simplify processes
  • Ownership and delivery of onboarding plan and requirements for new hires
  • Support and equip Aptean Global Sales Team with the content they need to do their jobs through learning sessions and refreshers
  • Maintenance and development of Aptean Global Sales Team Playbook and all relevant process documentations
  • SME for Sales Technologies and Tools – Support in building, maintaining, and delivering cadences, overseeing administration tasks, and liaising issues
  • SME for Salesforce – Drive proper Salesforce hygiene and effectiveness within Aptean Global Sales Team and collaborate with the Sales Ops team as needed

The Successful Candidate

  • At least 5 years of proven ability to effectively delivery and facilitate training plans and objectives via face-to-face and virtual sessions
  • Experience with building storyboards with digital content – specific to Sales Enablement, L&D type deployments
  • Comfortable with maintaining libraries of content used by Sales via systems such as Sharepoint, WalkMe etc.
  • Any experience with DAP platforms such as WalkMe would be a bonus
  • Experience with onboarding and ever-boarding activities for Sales teams
  • Understanding of Adult Learning and Development concepts
  • Strong project management, coordination, and presentation skills
  • Extensive experience in process documentation and material creation and development
  • Exceptional attention to details and analytical skills for data-driven activities
  • Strong skills working with Microsoft Applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively facilitate presentations, content, and data to the team
  • Ability to effectively manage time and work with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge with Salesforce, SalesLoft, and other CRM tool is an advantage
