As part of our fast-paced, growth-driven Marketing & eCommerce team, the eCommerce Marketing Specialist plays a key role in driving online performance through content, campaigns and digital merchandising.

This role is responsible for end-to-end eCommerce promotional execution, SEO-driven content creation, onsite merchandising and lifecycle marketing. You will work closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure compelling, consistent messaging across all digital channels while optimising the customer journey to drive traffic, conversion and retention.

This is an energetic, hands-on role suited to someone commercially minded, creative and passionate about delivering engaging online experiences that fuel growth.

Key Responsibilities

Content, Merchandising & SEO

  • Own and optimise product and collection content to drive traffic, conversion and retention.
  • Create compelling, SEO-informed product descriptions, collection copy, landing pages and inspiration/blog content.
  • Strategically merchandise collections for key trade periods (seasonal campaigns, major sales, launches).
  • Manage homepage and promotional placements to maximise visibility and revenue.
  • Enrich on-site search through keyword optimisation, tagging and content improvements.
  • Optimise cross-sell and upsell opportunities to improve AOV.

End-to-End eCommerce Promotion Execution

  • Lead end-to-end execution of eCommerce promotions across all digital touchpoints.
  • Work closely with designers to brief and deliver digital assets including eDMs, homepage banners, landing pages, paid social creative and promotional tiles.
  • Build, curate and deploy eDM campaigns via ESP platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team and external paid media agency to ensure consistency of promotional messaging across SEO, paid search, paid social and onsite channels.
  • Develop and optimise automated lifecycle journeys (welcome, abandoned cart, loyalty, reactivation).

Performance & Optimisation

  • Report on traffic, engagement, conversion and revenue performance.
  • Use analytics insights to identify CRO opportunities and improve content effectiveness.
  • Champion best-in-class customer experience across content and merchandising execution.

Digital Projects

  • Contribute to key eCommerce initiatives including platform enhancements, configuration updates and UAT phases.
  • Provide content and merchandising input into platform improvements to ensure strong commercial outcomes.

Key Candidate Competencies – Marketing Specialist

  • Strong commercial copywriting skills with proven SEO content experience.
  • Advanced understanding of digital merchandising and online buying behaviour.
  • Experience executing multi-channel promotional campaigns end-to-end.
  • Solid ESP experience (Dotdigital, Mailchimp or similar) including automation.
  • Confident briefing and collaborating with designers and agencies.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong CRO awareness.
  • High attention to detail and strong visual judgement.
  • Comfortable working across Shopify and digital marketing platforms.
  • Collaborative and proactive, with strong stakeholder management skills.
