The Contract Management Officeris responsible for overseeing the end-to-end administration and management of contracts related to commercial activities within the company. This role ensures that contractual obligations are accurately captured, monitored, and executed to protect the organization’s interests, drive operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
General Responsibilities
Contract Development & Review
Draft, review, and revise contracts in collaboration with Legal, Technical, and Commercial teams.
Ensure alignment of contractual terms with commercial strategies, risk assessments, and legal compliance.
Prepare contract templates and standard clauses tailored to the energy industry.
Contract Administration & Lifecycle Management
Maintain an organized contract repository and tracking system.
Monitor key milestones, deliverables, obligations, and renewal/expiry dates.
Facilitate contract change management including amendments,addendums, variations, and extensions.
Risk Management & Compliance
Identify, assess, and communicate contract-related risks and ensure mitigation measures are in place.
Ensure adherence to internal governance policies and external regulatory requirements.
Support audits and compliance checks by providing accurate contract documentation and summaries.
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
Serve as a liaison between internal departments (Legal, Finance, Procurement, Operations) and external parties (vendors, industry partners,industry stakeholders).
Support negotiations by providing historical data, benchmarking insights, and commercial inputs.
Support toresolve disputes or ambiguities in collaboration with relevant parties.
Reporting, Analytics & Continuous Improvement
Generate regular reports on contract performance, risk exposure, and compliance status.
Analyze trends and data to identify areas for process improvement or cost optimization.
Recommend enhancements to contract management tools, systems, and workflows.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in contract management, preferably in the energy or utilities sector.
Strong understanding of commercial contracts, procurement processes, and risk assessment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in contract lifecycle management systems and MS Office tools.
