Compliance Officer Data And IT Security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with diverse work experience in compliance, privacy and data protection, and process improvement. Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
• Up-to-date with trends, practices, policies and procedures relevant to compliance, privacy and data protection, and regulatory provisions applicable to the financial services industry; ability to drive change relevant to procedures and practices as applicable.
• Must have experience driving the build-out of compliance, privacy and/or data protection practices and policies.
• Must have excellent problem solving, decision making, and communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Must be proactive, detail-oriented and have excellent prioritization, planning, project management and time management skills.
• Must be able to work with people at all levels, including outside consultants and vendors and be able to influence others without formal authority. Must be able to build and maintain relationships, facilitate collaboration, influence and consult.
• Must be results-oriented and able to adapt and deal with ambiguous and/or complex situations and projects and manage expectations.
  
  

• Provide the vision and strategies necessary to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization’s information systems.
• Create and maintain enforceable information system security policies and supporting processes.
• Coordinate with other departments in relation to the evaluation, procurement, and deployment of security-related products and services.
• Conduct employee training relating to the handling, security, confidentiality and management of data within the organization.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements involving Information Security and Data Protection.
• Serve as the contact person of government entities and private individuals relating to all matters concerning data privacy and information security issues or concerns.
