JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: Cloud Engineer REPORTS TO: Acting CTO DIRECT REPORTS: N/A ROLE DESCRIPTION: The AWS Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and optimising Corrivium’s cloud infrastructure to support the delivery of seamless, scalable live streaming experiences. This role plays a critical part in the performance and resilience of Corrivium’s proprietary platform, working closely with software engineers and the live delivery team to ensure highly available, observable, and secure systems. This is a hands-on, implementation-focused role within a small, high-impact engineering team. The Cloud Engineer will apply site reliability engineering (SRE) principles, infrastructure-as-code best practices, and CI/CD automation to build fault-tolerant systems that support live global events and broadcast experiences. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Cloud Infrastructure Design & Management
Co-design and implement scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant AWS-based infrastructure.
Build infrastructure using TypeScript-based IaC tools (e.g. AWS CDK, Pulumi).
Develop and maintain architecture diagrams and documentation for cloud infrastructure.
Apply SRE principles to maintain availability, performance, and resilience.
Ensure observability through logging, monitoring, and automated alerting systems. CI/CD & Automation

Automate environment provisioning, configuration, and updates.
Integrate CI/CD with testing and alerting to improve deployment reliability. Operational Support & Reliability
Support Corrivium’s live delivery team during major broadcast events, including after-hours and on-call support as needed.
Troubleshoot production issues in distributed systems and coordinate timely resolutions.
Monitor service health and respond to operational incidents in accordance with defined SLAs. Security & Compliance
Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM controls, encryption, and policy enforcement.
Maintain compliance with Corrivium’s IMS and support ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 controls related to infrastructure.

Integrated Management System - JD 002 EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATION: Required Experience
4+ years in cloud engineering or SRE roles with hands-on AWS infrastructure experience.
Proven experience with: AWS services including Route53, CloudFront, S3, WAF, API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora, SES, SNS, and SQS.
Infrastructure-as-Code using TypeScript-based tools (e.g. AWS CDK, Pulumi).
CI/CD pipeline development and deployment of JavaScript/TypeScript projects.
Monitoring and logging in distributed systems, with automated alerting configuration. Managing SQL-based databases including schema migration. Desirable Skills
Familiarity with SRE practices including error budgets, SLIs, SLOs. Experience with observability tools like DataDog, Prometheus, or similar.
Previous support experience for live streaming or high-stakes production systems. Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
