Get to Know the Role
As Assistant Manager, Risk Policy, you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive risk management policies and frameworks that align with our strategic goals and regulatory requirements. You will drive enterprise-wide risk initiatives that strengthen our risk posture and support sustainable business growth.
You will report to the Senior Manager, Risk Policy, and you will base onsite at our office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
Be the subject matter expert (SME) for fraud risk policy concerning payments (cards, wallets, Alternative Payment Methods) and lending (Paylater, Cash Loans, Buy Now, Pay Later).
Initiate regional policy initiatives, projects, and frameworks aimed at mitigating risk and fraud across new projects or enhancements to existing product offerings.
Identify and analyze emergent risks and trends, subsequently providing recommendations for policy and procedural adjustments to mitigate these risks.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in Product, Business, and Engineering teams to implement risk mitigation techniques and controls.
Configure and optimize fraud detection rules within fraud management platforms, using transaction trend analysis and pattern recognition to identify potential merchant and consumer fraud risks.
Conduct monitoring, investigations, deep dives, and forensic analysis, along with comprehensive reporting; provide timely, data-driven feedback regarding portfolio performance and reporting metrics.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
At least 3 years of experience in the payments or lending sectors.
Experience with the fraud landscape, coupled with practical knowledge of fraud tools, systems, models, and proficiency in fraud risk platforms and controls.
Familiarity with data analysis or mining tools, demonstrating the capability to conduct deep data dives and extract insights.
Hands-on experience with SQL.
Possesses strong problem-solving skills and maintains a positive, professional attitude.
Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and operate effectively within fast-changing, unstructured environments.
