Meaningful Work From Day One
As the Area Manager for Philippines and Myanmar, you will be accountable for leading market strategy and our distribution partnership, in collaboration with internal cross functional teams. You will champion the expansion of our brand portfolio with the appointed distributor, ensuring their sales and marketing plans are sound and strong, while ensuring all brand building activities and marketing agencies are in adherence to our global brand standards. As a key leadership member of the SEA region, you are expected to lead in the strategic growth of the markets under your responsibility,ensuring the long-term objectives are met through daily execution that aligns with our core vision and company values.
What You Can Expect
- Ensures distributor compliance with all legal mandates, covering volume targets, market-specific pricing framework and marketing plans and spends.
- Partners with distributor leadership to facilitate comprehensive performance evaluations and monthly and quarterly performance reviews (MBR & QBR) to maintain strategic alignment.
- Manages the negotiation, finalization, and extension of distributor and Service Level Agreements, ensuring adherence to internal guidelines.
- Oversees the development of remediation strategies or directs the dissolution and transition of partnerships failing to meet the contractual agreed distribution terms.
- Partner with the distributor to ensure the yearly marketing plans and spends are aligned to the distribution agreement and aligned with the Company’s brand standards.
- Partners with internal stakeholders and distributors to develop and implement Annual Brand Plans to drive long-term sustainable growth, improving brand health and equity while delivering sales.
What You Bring To The Table
- Drives portfolio optimization by ensuring distributor commercial focus is aligned with organizational brand portfolio priorities and high-margin objectives within the market.
- Directs the execution of new product launches, if any, in the markets under your care, providing necessary brand toolkits and guidelines to ensure consistent market positioning.
- Safeguards brand equity through regular audits of local marketing assets and digital presence to ensure adherence to global brand identity and trademark standards.
- Monitors competitive landscapes in the Philippines and Myanmar to inform tactical adjustments in portfolio strategy and maintain market leadership.
- Drive the annual go-to-market strategies and development of joint marketing plans (JMPs) with distributor partners, ensuring all promotional initiatives are strategically designed and aligned to the commercial objective.
- Influence campaign localization efforts by reviewing and authorizing distributor-led adaptations, maintaining a balance between local relevance and global brand identity integrity.
- Partner with distributors to architect trade marketing programs and channel-specific incentives, overseeing the deployment of point-of-sale assets across key retail networks.
- Develops detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual business plans, and actively participates in or presents at regular performance reviews.
What Makes You Unique
- Possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or has achieved an equivalent academic qualification
- Demonstrates at least 8 years of evolving professional experience in business development or managing distribution channels in the spirits industry,preferably with a focus on ASEAN markets
- Shows a proven track-record of brand-led business growth, with experience managing above and below the line brand building strategies and tactics.
- Exhibits proficiency in the creation, negotiation, and stewardship in commercial agreements with distribution partners.
- Displays capabilities in engaging diverse stakeholders and navigating cross-cultural communication to resolve complex conflicts.
- Prepared to undertake regular regional travel throughout the Philippines and Myanmar to cultivate and manage distributor relationships.
