We are seeking an AI Content Strategist to design a nd deliver B2B content strategies t hat per form across traditional sea rch and AI-driven discovery and generative search environments.

In addition to content strategy, th is r ole acts as a prompt and conte xt engin eer , a nd plays a critical role in helping clients modernize their content operations by identifying opportunities to integrate AI assistants, agents, and automation that improve speed, consistency, and scalability across content workflows.
Position Overview
The AI Content Strategist owns content strategy and planning, with a strong emphasis on Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and SEO alignment. All strategies produced in this role are grounded in intent-driven topic selection , ques tion- based discov ery , and an applie d understanding of how AI systems interpret, retrieve, and surface content .
The role partners closely with SEO teams, AI Content Specialists, and client stakeholders to ensure content strategies align business objectives with audience intent and evolving AI search behavior.
This rol e is aligned to US bu siness hours to support real-tim e collaboration with Nor th American cli ents.
Key Responsibilities
- AEO/GEO-Centric Content Strategy & Planning
- Develop B2B content strategies, blueprints, and content maps for marketing initiatives (ABM, demand generation, and lead generation), with AEO and GEO considerations embedded throughout.
- Conduct comprehensive content audits and gap analyses across web and content libraries to identify optimization, conversion, and engagement opportunit i es .
- Ensure all content plans are grounded in audience intent, question-based discovery, and observed AI search behaviors
- Design content frameworks for high-impact assets (whitepapers, reports, blogs, and pillar pages ), ensuring narrative cohesion, appropriate formats , and structures that support AI retrieval, summarization, and citation
- C lient Partnership & Governance
- D evelop content strategy for high-impact B2B marketing campaigns , en suring ali gnment wi th business marketing goals and objectives for AI search & visibility .
- Assess client content creation workflow processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and scalability issues .
- Identify where automation or AI-assisted workflows can meaningfully improve the efficiency , consistency, and q uality of content workflows .
- Recommend , establish , and maintain improvements to AI-enhanced content workflows, roles, and handoffs withi n a ssig ned en gagement s , suppo rting consistent, high-quality delivery .
- Content Auditing & Prioritization
- Oversee and conduct web page audits to assess AEO/GEO readiness, content quality, and optimization opportunity
- Establish prioritization frameworks that balance business value, search opportunity, AI visibility potential, time-t o-va lue , and effort to execute
- Advise clients on which optimization priorities will deliver the greatest impact to AI visibility and why
- Provide clear, strategic recommendations for content restructuring, expansion, consolidation, or creation
4 . AEO/GEO Pillar & Topic Cluster Strategy
- Lead AEO/GEO topic discovery and prioritization with SEO, using intent research, search behavior analysis, and business objectives .
- Collaborate closely with SEO to identify AEO/GEO topic clusters and build pillar page strategies that establish s trong brand authority .
- Map primary and supporting content across topic clusters to ensure strategic content coverage, depth, and internal cohesion .
5 . AI Assistants, Automation & Agent Advisory
- Identify opportunities to design and integrate AI assistants, prompt libraries , or content agents for specific content tasks or within content creation workflows .
- Consult with clients on how to scope, establish , and govern AI-enabled content systems .
- Define use cases, inputs, guardrails, and success criteria for AI assistants and agents .
- Evaluate performance of AI-assisted workflows and recommend optimizations as needed .
6 . Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with SEO teams to align content strategy with intent research, topic clustering, internal linking, and AEO/GEO/SEO search performance goals .
- Collaborate with Web and UI/UX teams to ensure content structures, page layouts, and information architecture support discoverability, usability, and AI retrieval .
- Work with Design teams to ensure visual systems, templates, and content presentation support clarity, reada bility, and content reuse .
- Collaborate with Senior AI Content Specialists to translate strategy into clear briefs, roadmaps, and execution guidance .
- Work with all delivery teams to deliver cohesive and justifiable AEO/GEO/SEO recommendations to the client.
7 . Learning & Continuous Improvement
- Stay informed on emerging trends in AI search, LLM behavior, and content optimization methodologies.
- Actively develop skills related to AI-assisted content creation and optimization workflows.
- Contribute learnings and insights to the broader A I C ontent E x perience team to help evolve internal capabilities.
Requirements
- Experience & Education
- 10 + years of relevant experience in communications, publishing, marketing, etc.
- 3+ years of experience managing and refining content or creative strategies.
- Strong ability to write clear, concise, and conversational B2B marketing content.
- Proven experience leading or owning content strategy and optimization initiatives with internal teams or client stakeholders .
- Experience working directly with clients or senior stakeholders in an advisory capacity.
- Interest in developing deeper expertise in AI search, LLM behavior, and emerging content discovery models.
- Technical & Soft Skills
- Expertise in content strategy, demand generation, ABM, and inbound marketing.
- Strong copywriting, editing, and storytelling skills across various B2B content formats (blogs, whitepapers, case studies, landing pages, etc.).
- Strong understanding of content planning & strategy principles and how content supports business goals .
- Strong working knowledge of SEO and practical familiarity with AEO/GEO concepts and execution .
- Ability to define and design AI-assisted content processes and workflows that scale across teams and engagements .
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in clear, practical terms and create clear audience-focused content.
- Strong collaboration and facilitation skills across cross-functional teams
- Exceptional stakeholder management, client communication, and leadership abilities.

- Consistent delivery of high-quality AEO/GEO work, along with demonstrated growth in the capabilities and effectiveness of assigned junior and senior specialists .
- Strong partnership feedback from the client, Senior Content Solutions Architect, Editorial Leads, and Campaign Managers.
