Media Relations Officer

Develop relationships with national and regional press and media contacts to ensure the company and clients’ reputation are promoted and protected

Cultivate and enhance collaborative working relationships with media and other important and famous personalities

Manage the flow of communications messages about the organization and its clients to the relevant media personalities.

Develop and manage and maintain the media data base of the company.

Plan and oversee press events together with the assigned PR Associate or PR Director.

Prepare articles and press releases for the media.

Detect public relations issues as they emerge and address them directly.

Research and write briefing materials.

Assist in the account servicing of media relations centric clients.

Assist the PRIXM Media Relations Director in the development of systems and processes to upgrade the PR capabilities of the organization in accounts servicing and project management work

Minimum Qualifications

Preferably with at least two years experience in Public Relations/Media Relations

Has a working knowledge of the media industry

Amiable personality

Client facing skills, presentation skills, relationship skills

Graduate of a course related to PR
