IT Specialist

About The Role

The IT Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining and improving our client’s internal technology operations. This position primarily focuses on helpdesk management, while also contributing to system

administration, business process automation, and other IT projects. You will ensure smooth day-to-day operations for our distributed workforce by supporting employees, managing tickets, and maintaining our cloud-based systems and integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, triage, and manage the IT helpdesk, ensuring timely and effective ticket resolution
  • Provide end-user support for hardware, desktop applications, and SaaS apps
  • Maintain detailed documentation on all tickets, including troubleshooting steps and resolutions
  • Perform employee and client onboarding/offboarding, ensuring proper account and system setup
  • Administer and maintain the company’s cloud-based application stack (M365, Asana, Keeper, Freshservice, Freshdesk, etc.)
  • Follow up with end-users to ensure satisfaction and closure of requests
  • Assist in system administration, process automation, and other IT projects as assigned
  • Identify and recommend improvements to IT systems, workflows, and user experience

Experience Required

  • Experience using IT ticketing systems (responding, assigning, closing, and following upon incidents, problems, and service requests)

Experience with:

  • Windows environments
  • Microsoft 365 administration
  • Power Platform (Power Automate, PowerApps, Power BI) preferred
  • Automation Tools (Power Automate, Zapier, or similar)

Qualifications and Skills

  • Relevant academic qualifications required
  • Certifications in information systems, IT Administration, or Cloud Technologies
  • Familiarity with SaaS application management (user accounts, permissions, etc)
  • Solid understanding of IT fundamentals, including: Microsoft 365 administration, Cloud-based system management, IT security and data privacy best practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to accuracy, efficiency, and detail
  • Collaborative mindset: works effectively with other teams to identify and meet IT needs
