Data Specialist

As a Data Specialist, you will be the engine behind our data-driven decision-making process. Working under the guidance of the Data and Performance Analytics Supervisor, you will be responsible for the hands-on execution of the analytics lifecycle. Your mission is to extract raw data from various sources, ensure its integrity, and craft the visually compelling Tableau dashboards that our stakeholders rely on.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Execution: Perform end-to-end analytics, including data ingestion, cleaning, and transformation using SQL and ETL tools.
• Dashboard Development: Build, maintain, and optimize sophisticated Tableau dashboards using advanced features like LOD expressions and complex parameters.
• Data Quality: Adhere to "single source of truth" protocols to ensure every report is accurate and validated before delivery.
• Technical Collaboration: Participate in code reviews and follow established standards for dashboard design and performance optimization.
• Stakeholder Support: Help translate business requirements into technical solutions and provide clear updates on project progress.
• Process Automation: Identify and implement ways to automate manual reporting and streamline workflows between the data warehouse and Tableau.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years in a data analytics role.
• Tableau Proficiency: Strong experience with Tableau Desktop (LODs, parameters) and familiarity with Tableau Server/Cloud.
• Technical Stack:
• Advanced SQL: Deep comfort with data extraction and complex manipulations.
• Data Sources: Experience connecting to and querying platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Salesforce.
• Modeling: Understanding of Star and Snowflake schemas.
• Communication: Ability to document technical processes and explain data findings to non-technical team members.
