As a Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in strengthening the organization’s safety culture by ensuring compliance with aviation safety standards and implementing the Safety Management System (SMS). You will lead safety initiatives, conduct risk assessments, and collaborate across departments to maintain a safe and compliant operational environment.

What you will do

• Ensure that 1Aviation’s Vision, Mission, and Values are achieved
• Promote and ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, and Security standards based on regulatory requirements, government laws, and company policies
• Assist the Safety Manager in implementing safety projects, conducting meetings, and consolidating reports
• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards
• Perform random spot inspections across stations and ensure proper implementation of safety protocols
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; analyze root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Develop and implement preventive measures to minimize operational risks
• Support internal audits and liaise with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with safety standards
• Maintain safety records and ensure proper documentation aligned with regulatory requirements
• Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments for new stations, equipment, and systems
• Assist in reviewing and updating the Safety Management System Manual
• Develop and support safety training programs for employees across all levels
• Assist in emergency response planning and conduct drills to ensure preparedness
• Perform routine inspections of facilities and operational areas to ensure safety compliance
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve safety-related issues
• Prepare safety reports and analyze trends to support continuous improvement initiatives
• Supervise Safety Specialists and Safety Marshals, ensuring effective team performance and resource allocation
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Safety Manager or Head of Quality, Safety, and Security
  
  

An ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications Required Educational Background

• Bachelor’s degree holder
  
  

Preferred Experience And Skills

• At least 5 years of Airline/Airport Operations experience
• At least 3 years of experience in aviation safety or safety management
• Strong knowledge of aviation safety standards, compliance, and regulatory requirements
• Experience in incident investigation, risk assessment, and safety audits
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to lead safety initiatives and influence a safety-first culture
