Regional Air Freight Gatekeeper - RFQ And Pricing Japanese-Speaking

Purpose of the Role

Act as the dedicated pricing and tender expert for Japanese customer opportunities, serving as the bridge between DGF Japan and the APAC Regional Air Freight Pricing team. The role will support the Grow Japan program by improving RFQ competitiveness, pricing quality, customer understanding, and win rates for strategic Japanese accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pricing development and tender responses for strategic Japanese customer RFQs and air freight opportunities.
• Act as the primary liaison between DGF Japan commercial teams and the Regional Air Freight Pricing Centre in Manila.
• Translate Japanese customer requirements, expectations, and procurement practices into executable pricing strategies.
• Support preparation, review, and submission of complex RFQs and tenders for Japanese multinational customers.
• Work closely with country sales, account management, pricing, and product teams to develop competitive and profitable solutions.
• Ensure pricing proposals align with customer requirements while meeting DGF margin and governance objectives.
• Provide market, customer, and competitive intelligence relating to Japanese accounts.
• Drive continuous improvement of RFQ processes and best practices for Japanese customer opportunities.
• Support the Grow Japan program's strategic target accounts and contribute to air freight growth objectives
  
  
  

• Japanese speaker with strong English communication skills.
• Air freight pricing, tender management, or commercial experience within the logistics industry.
• Strong understanding of Japanese customer culture, procurement processes, and RFQ requirements.
• Analytical mindset with strong commercial and pricing capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and regional environment.
• Based in Manila or Willingness to relocate to Manila
