Royal Caribbean Group’s Global Talent Attraction Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Lead, Rehire.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead, Ship Appeals and Rehire is in charge of overseeing the daily operations, execution of all aspects of the appeals process, rehire requests/ escalated rehiring cases, and scams inbox management globally. The position works in close collaboration with the HR Shared Services as well as brand Leaders to determine course of action. This incumbent is also responsible to ensure that all SOP related to the function are updated, complied, and met in a timely manner.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

SHIP APPEALS

  • Handles Sea Based Appeals, conducts the required case reviews and provides feedback to the employee.
  • Collaborates closely the shipboard execute team to conclude each case.
  • Determines whether procedural fairness occurred in the application of, regulations, policies, directives, and procedural guidelines in the termination process and whether the appeal should be granted or denied.
  • Liaises with the HRBPs globally on cases that require further escalation or discussion.
  • Liaises with the Legal Team to minimize negative impacts and liability.
  • Maintains an active log of all Sea Based Appeals and their outcome.
  • Monitor and ensures that Ship Appeals KPI set by the management team is being met.

REHIRE REQUESTS

  • Oversees the Rehire Requests team and provides guidance on complex / escalated cases when needed
  • Manages escalated Rehire Requests
  • Monitor and ensures that Rehire KPI set by the management team is being met.

SCAMS INBOX MANAGEMENT

  • Handles Hiring Partner / Scam Complaints and provides feedback to the employees and external candidates (reporting parties).
  • Maintains an active log of all Hiring Partner / SCAM Complaints and their outcome.
  • Monitor and ensures that Scams Inbox KPI set by the management team is being met.

ADMINISTRATIVE

  • Stays current with all policies and procedures noted in SQM (Safety & Quality Management), any other material that pertains to his / her duties.
  • Works closely with the HR Sea-based and Land based on employee related matters to ensure a fast and efficient execution of all duties.
  • Performs all duties within the scope of Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Generates and shares comprehensive and detailed reports about team performance, objectives, and deadlines.
  • Establishes SOP and tools for team to find efficiencies, focusing on continuous improvement to streamline the processes.
  • Works closely with Management Team to identify the need for policy adjustments or improvements.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Ensures all members of the team have a comparable workload and reallocates work and resources accordingly based on priorities.
  • Conducts team meetings and one on one discussions to update members on best practices and continuing expectations and improvements.
  • Performs performance reviews, coaching, and mentoring on a regular basis
  • Provides encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks.
  • Executes performance development and improvement plans to help direct reports in delivering expected outcome at work
  • Monitor and provides support to the team in performing root causes analysis, trends analysis, in order to find best possible solutions for challenges and issues encountered

Qualifications

  • College/University graduate or above.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the Human Resources field.
  • Able to manage confidential information ¿ With sound Problem Solving Skills
  • Capable of managing projects simultaneously
  • Can create, translate and communicate vision into clear, meaningful and specific priorities
  • With in-depth knowledge on labor relations
  • Good English communication and business writing skills

Knowledge And Skills

  • Ability to work with a group and individually, in a fast faced environment with multiple projects and priorities.
  • Ability to lead a team and serve as a support resource
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and is always prompt in delivering tasks assigned
  • Ability to exercise astute judgment and follow outlined procedures with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must have a keen eyes on details that could easily spot concern on data verification
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with employee information
  • Must have good skills in using tools such as MS Word, MS Excel, and others.
  • Ability read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures.
  • Ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to requests.
  • Ability to work productively and mechanically under strict time constraints and stressful situations.
  • Working knowledge of computers, internet and navigate within a variety of Microsoft software packages. Knowledge of industry programs (E1, etc) as required.
