Your primary objective will be to develop existing or new business by coordinating all business development actions + triggering opportunities within larger accounts headquartered in Japan. You will do this by working with a variety of internal + external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with our current commercial policy while focusing on the following key objectives.
How you create impact
To directly manage Key Account(s), in accordance with agreed targets, goals + company guidelines, eliciting customer needs + selling our key products + services.
To ensure understanding of all customer organizations, business model and decision-making processes
To engage KN network proactively and work closely with the NA KAMs in Japan.
To negotiate rates with customers in alignment with the business units (BU), ensuring rate sheets are documented + maintained as needed by the BU’s.
To ensure compliance with our sales management processes + systems, ensuring correct + timely updates in our customer relationship system (CRM)
To monitor monthly performance against set targets ensuring that immediate actions address deviations.
To ensure that account plan(s) are in place based on internal processes + templates which are signed off by the respective sales manager.
Manage & support efficiently all the RFQ’s by obtaining strong support from the Trade Management / Pricing teams.
To effectively hand over + transition new business into operations to ensure that customer requirements + companys commitments are met.
To conduct regular + structured review sessions with assigned customers including; process for continuous improvement + innovation, review of customer strategy + priorities to deliver operational excellence.
What we would like you to bring
Language Requirement: Excellent communication and influencing/ negotiation skills and Japanese Speaking
Client Focus: Will develop and manage relationships with Japanese customers
Industry Background: Freight forwarding or logistics experience is essential
Communication Skills: Able to engage directly with shippers and understand their requirements. Able to bring new business in the organization.
Build up relationship internal and external; highly organized with the ability to wear multiple hats in a fast moving environment and drive performance and build differentiators.
Ability of managing multiple tasks under time pressure with positive attitude
