Intermediate DevOps Engineer - Dayshift WFH

As our DevOps Engineer, youll play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure. Youll be a vital part of the DevOps team, working closely with engineering teams and company-wide stakeholders to streamline infrastructure that power our global tourism platform.

This is a hands-on, high-impact position focused on automating cloud infrastructure, managing CI/CD pipelines, and supporting the scalability and reliability of our applications across environments. Youll also help standardize and migrate infrastructure from acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement infrastructure tools and automation using Python, Bash, Terraform, or Nix to enhance the scalability, reliability, and performance of platforms.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to support multiple development teams.
• Monitor system performance and availability, providing analysis and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Practice sustainable incident response and promote blameless postmortems.
• Develop and uphold service-level objectives (SLOs), service-level indicators (SLIs), and error budgets for our services.
• Participate in on-call rotations, responding to and mitigating service interruptions and technical challenges.
  
  

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, Terraform
• Production-grade Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Experience scaling MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, NewRelic)
• Solid troubleshooting and performance tuning capabilities.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with development teams, operations, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments.
  
  

• Proven experience with identity services, including Entra ID and Active Directory.
• Strong background in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to support multiple development teams.
• Hands-on experience scaling and managing Azure PostgreSQL in production environments.
• Proficient in deploying and managing Kubernetes operators such as external-secrets, cert-manager, and external-dns.
• Familiarity with service mesh and API gateway technologies, including Istio and Linkerd.
• Solid understanding of zero-trust access models and cloud-native security best practices.
