Your Role

As a Global Credit and Collections Specialist, you will:

• Drive collection efforts on multi-currency international accounts to reduce aging balances and achieve DSO targets.
• Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing global customers using financial statements, bureau reports, and payment trends.
• Resolve complex international billing discrepancies, short payments, chargebacks, and deductions in partnership with cross-functional teams.
• Manage unapplied cash, customer credit balances, and Accounts Receivable subledger governance across global portfolios.
• Identify and support process improvement initiatives to standardize credit operations, reduce manual effort, and strengthen controls.
  
  

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• 3 to 6 years of commercial B2B credit and collections experience in a multi-regional, multi-currency organization.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience handling international collections and multi-currency accounts.
• Strong working knowledge of global trade practices, export rules, and international shipping terms.
• Hands-on experience working in a large ERP environment (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills, specifically Excel functions like pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
  
  

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Professional Collection Manager (PCM) or Professional Collections Specialist (PCS) certification.
• Fluency in the Spanish language.
• Prior experience working within a global Shared Services environment.
• Strong cross-cultural negotiation skills and experience working under a monthly accounting close timetable.
