Your Role

As an EMR Application Support Specialist, you will:

  • Triage and resolve incoming EMR software (Homecare Homebase) support issues reported by end users
  • Respond to support tickets within defined SLAs, prioritizing urgent and moderate issues accordingly
  • Provide effective technical support and problem resolution for local and remote end users
  • Communicate with users via email, phone, and ticketing systems, and collaborate internally through meetings and workgroups
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of incidents, resolutions, and system changes
  • Perform software testing prior to upgrades, post-enhancement delivery, and during issue replication
  • Manage user access, provisioning, role changes, and password resets across business applications
  • Configure and set up software systems as directed by the supervisor
  • Escalate complex issues to senior support members or third-party vendors with clear findings and reproduction steps
  • Participate in and facilitate systems training, including developing how-to documents and user guides
  • Stay current with software updates, releases, and best practices to support operational efficiency

What You Need

Non-negotiables

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of documented experience in Home Health operations (in lieu of a bachelor’s degree)
  • Experience providing application or EMR software support in a ticket-based environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows-based operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing

Preferred Skills/expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Experience supporting Homecare Homebase EMR or similar Home Health/Hospice systems
  • Knowledge of user security, system configuration, and access management
  • Experience delivering end-user training and developing support documentation
  • Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills
