As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our products/services through meticulous testing and quality control processes. Your primary responsibility will be to perform thorough evaluations, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall quality. Key Responsibilities
Testing and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive manual testing of products/services to identify defects, deficiencies, and areas for improvement. Support automated testing as needed. This is primarily manual testing, but having Cypress automated testing experience is a plus.
Quality Control: Implement and execute quality control processes to ensure adherence to established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Issue Identification and Resolution: Proactively identify and address quality-related issues, working closely with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of testing processes, results, and quality assurance activities. Ensure that all relevant documentation is up-to-date and accessible to team members.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, to understand project requirements and provide input on quality considerations throughout the development lifecycle.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing quality metrics, monitoring industry best practices, and implementing enhancements to quality assurance processes.
Training: Provide training and support to team members on quality assurance processes and best practices.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about industry regulations and standards, ensuring that the organization remains in compliance with relevant quality and regulatory requirements (HIPAA & FERPA).
Qualifications
Proven experience in quality assurance, with a focus on software testing and product/service quality.
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Experience with both manual and automated testing techniques.
For automated testing, Cypress experience is required.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards relevant to the industry.
Bachelors degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent work experience.
Certifications in quality assurance (e.g., ISTQB certification) are a plus.
