What This Role Is About

The Innovation Specialist plays a critical role in improving operational efficiency through automation, system integration, and digital innovation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify process gaps, design technology-enabled solutions, and support the organization’s digital transformation journey.

This role blends technical expertise, business analysis, and change enablement—perfect for someone who enjoys building, optimizing, and innovating.

What you will do

• Uphold 1Aviation’s Mission, Vision, and Values in all initiatives
• Identify and assess business processes suitable for automation and digitalization
• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain automation solutions (e.g., PowerApps, Power Automate, RPA, scripts)
• Build proof-of-concept (POC) solutions and transition them into scalable, production-ready tools
• Lead and support digital transformation projects that modernize workflows and improve employee experience
• Map current-state processes and redesign them using modern digital platforms
• Integrate systems and data sources to eliminate manual work and improve efficiency
• Develop dashboards and analytics reports using Power BI or similar tools
• Analyze data trends and recommend process and system improvements
• Collaborate with IT and business units to ensure alignment with architecture, security, and governance standards
• Document technical designs, workflows, and user guides
• Provide training, demos, and support to users adopting new digital solutions
• Monitor deployed solutions and continuously enhance performance and usability
• Promote a culture of innovation through ideation and awareness initiatives
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the IT Manager
  
  

What we’re looking for

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 2–5 years of experience in automation, application development, workflow design, or digital transformation
• Hands-on experience with low-code tools (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, or equivalent)
• Experience in process mapping, redesign, and system optimization
• Background in scripting or coding (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript) is an advantage
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a corporate or service-oriented environment
