Quality Assurance Engineer

Toyota Motor Philippines is looking for Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Quality Department based in Santa Rosa City, Laguna, Philippines.

The Quality Assurance Engineer is a member of the Market Quality Team that is responsible for overall Market Quality Assurance, covering customer quality engineering, warranty claim and cost management, and market failure analysis for vehicles and parts. It also ensures material quality and QA compliance through audits, failure mode analysis, and critical process problem prevention in accordance with regional requirements.

In this role, you are expected to be a domain expert in Market Quality Assurance, demonstrating strong problem‑solving, quality mindset, and stakeholder collaboration in managing customer quality engineering, failure analysis, warranty claim and cost management, and ensuring material quality compliance through audits and critical process problem prevention aligned with regional standards.

Your role and responsibilities:

• Overall assurance for Vehicles in the market (including but not limited to TMP Yard, Dealer Yard, and actual customer units)
• Help monitor and check the quality of vehicles, parts, and materials
• Assist in analyzing customer and market quality issues
• Support the review and tracking of warranty claims and data
• Help identify the cause of problems and suggest ways to prevent them
• Assist in quality checks during new model testing and development
• Support basic audits, reports, and compliance with quality standards
• Participate in improvement (Kaizen) activities and team quality initiatives
• Participate in inspections or visits (including local business trips) to better understand actual vehicle conditions
  
  
  

• You have a bachelors degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Automotive, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply!
• Has theoretical knowledge on automotive component operation, manufacturing, and basic troubleshooting
• Has interpretation skill in parts and vehicle drawing
• Capable in operating general laboratory and evaluation tools
• You maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjust to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.
• You have achieved a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in position-related areas and are keeping up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise.
• You are capable of identifying and understanding issues, problems, and opportunities; comparing data from different sources to draw conclusions; using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; taking action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences.
