How You Will Contribute

• HSE Program Management:
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE programs, policies, and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and company objectives.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety inspections to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee and manage the plants HSE management system.
• Compliance & Reporting:
• Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal HSE regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
• Prepare and submit all required HSE reports, permits, and documentation to regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, training, inspections, and environmental data.
• Incident Investigation & Prevention:
• Lead and participate in incident investigations (near misses, first aids, recordable injuries, environmental spills) to determine root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and implement proactive measures to prevent recurrence of incidents.
• Training & Awareness:
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs for all employees, including new hire orientation, job-specific safety training, and emergency response drills.
• Promote HSE awareness and a positive safety culture throughout the plant.
• Environmental Management:
• Manage environmental aspects of plant operations, including waste management, air emissions, wastewater discharge, and chemical storage.
• Ensure environmental permits are up-to-date and compliance limits are met.
• Identify opportunities for environmental footprint reduction and sustainability initiatives.
• Emergency Preparedness:
• Develop, implement, and regularly review emergency response plans (e.g., fire, hazardous material spills, medical emergencies).
• Organize and conduct emergency drills.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Monitor key HSE performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.
• Lead and participate in safety committees and cross-functional teams to drive HSE excellence.
• Stay informed of best practices and new technologies in HSE.
• Contractor Safety:
• Oversee contractor safety programs and ensure adherence to plant safety standards.
  

What You Will Bring

A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:

• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in an HSE role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HSE management systems and knowledge in relevant HSE regulations
• Certifications specializing in HSE would be preferred
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organization.
