Job Purpose

Responsible for governing and ensuring OnePH Market’s tax reporting and compliance with the Philippine Tax Law and Regulations. The role spearheads the preparation of tax planning, reporting, in compliance with the Philippine law, minimizing disputes, risks and tax liabilities.

Key Result Areas (kra) / Performance Measures

Quantitative/Qualitative

Tax Compliance

• Manages and reviews Accuracy and timeliness filling of all Tax Returns (Income Tax , VAT, withholding Tax)
  
  

Strategic Tax Planning

• Provides strategic planning, reviews and recommendations to minimize tax liabilities, tax savings, opportunities and risks.
• Evaluates the tax implications of company activities and develops strategies to minimize the tax obligations
  
  

Tax Audit and Dispute Resolutions

• Leads tax audits and reviews by BIR and 3rd party auditing Firm
• Executes negotiations, resolutions and responses to tax notices
  
  

Documentation and Cross Functional Collaboration

• Monitor changes to tax laws and regulations and provide recommendations on changes to existing policies or procedures.
• Advises management and reports to the CFO on future changes /updates of tax regulations and possible impact to the organization and business decisions
  
  

People Management

• Coach and mentor Associates in upskilling and business acumen

Qualifications

• Graduate of 4 year BS Accountancy course; CPA preferred.
• 7-10 yrs. Working experience in finance, taxation in supervisory and managerial capacity
• Advanced degree and working knowledge in government reportorial and its corresponding deadlines.
• Expertise in understanding of tax compliance.
• Strong knowledge and proficiency of Philippine corporate tax laws and regulations
