The role

The Finance Head will lead the Finance Department in the Philippines, overseeing accounting, reporting, billing, credit control, cost management, and payroll. This role ensures financial operations run smoothly, supports business planning, and enforces strong financial controls and ethical practices. The Finance Head also leads, develops, and motivates the finance team while supporting the Managing Director in driving business growth.

Your Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting:

  • Ensure accurate, timely accounting and reporting according to laws, regulations, and internal guidelines.
  • Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
  • Maintain strong financial controls over expenditures, income, and cash flow.
  • Monitor financial performance and initiate corrective actions when necessary.

Operations & Compliance

  • Oversee billing, invoicing, and collections to ensure timely payments.
  • Implement internal audits, controls, and policies to reduce risks and maintain compliance.
  • Follow company policies, ethical guidelines, and legal regulations.
  • Alert management of any irregularities or potential financial risks.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and motivate the Finance team, ensuring staff are trained, developed, and engaged.
  • Conduct performance reviews, identify development opportunities, and retain quality staff.
  • Promote a positive work culture that supports employee engagement and business goals.

Business Support & Strategy

  • Provide financial insights to support business decisions and profitability.
  • Collaborate with other departments and global teams to align on company goals.
  • Support the management in strategic planning, investment decisions, and operational growth.

Relationship Management

  • Build strong working relationships across the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • Ensure smooth communication between the Finance team and other departments.

What Were Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • CPA or other relevant professional certifications preferred.
  • 10–15 years of experience in finance, preferably in logistics, forwarding, or international business, with proven experience in a management role leading finance teams.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and corporate governance.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with international teams.
  • Strong ethical standards and commitment to compliance.
