As a Technical Support Coordinator, You Will

  • Issue Diagnosis: Resolve hardware and software problems using remote diagnostics and questioning techniques.
  • Incident Tracking: Log all communications in the tracking system and interpret system error messages.
  • Vendor Management: Initiate and follow through on service calls with external contractors and second-level support.
  • Software Implementation: Coordinate new software releases from beta testing through full implementation.
  • Documentation & Training: Develop and test support procedures while training users on supported systems.

What You Need:

  • Remote Troubleshooting: Ability to resolve hardware and software issues effectively over the phone.
  • Clear Communication: Superior oral and written skills to explain technical fixes to non-technical users.
  • Customer Service: Strong service orientation with professional phone etiquette and a courteous manner.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in record-keeping and proofing technical documentation.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of computer systems, hardware, and common software applications.

Preferred Skills/expertise

  • Retail/POS: Previous experience in a Point of Sale or retail technical environment.
  • Operational Flexibility: Ability to work varied schedules, including evenings and weekends.
  • Process Testing: Experience proofing and testing technical procedures before implementation.
  • Advanced Education: College-level coursework or relevant IT certifications.
  • Direct Support: Proven background in a high-volume customer service or support center role.
