Job Summary:
The Associate Technician is an entry-level skilled trades professional who supports the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment. This role works under close supervision to learn the fundamentals of equipment troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and safety procedures. This position is key to minimizing equipment downtime and supporting production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assists senior technicians with the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment.
- Performs basic mechanical or electrical tasks according to detailed instructions and schematics.
- Uses basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment to perform assigned tasks.
- Documents maintenance and repair activities in the equipment management system.

Qualifications:
- Typically requires a High School diploma or equivalent. Entry-level position with on-the-job training provided.
- A technical certificate or coursework in a skilled trade (e.g., electronics, mechanics) is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or electronic principles.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and a strong desire to learn a technical trade.
