Position Title: QA Scrum Master II

Work Set Up: Onsite

Schedule: 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM PH Time

Job Location: Clark Outsourcing - Building 35 Philexcel Business Park, Clark Pampanga

Quick Rundown:

The Quality Assurance–Scrum Master II requires a blend of application development exposure, quality assurance expertise, and agile delivery ownership. This role provides guidance and support to internal users and cross-functional teams while driving quality and continuous improvement efforts across multiple mission-critical applications. The QA-Scrum Master II ensures application stability, reliability, and continuous delivery of our software applications.

What You’ll Do:

Quality Assurance & Testing

  • Develops, maintains, and executes detailed test plans for functional validation, regression testing, and release validation.
  • Enhances and automates test scripts to optimize continuous testing strategies and reduce manual effort.
  • Ensures all defects, enhancements, and suggestions are properly entered, tracked, and managed in JIRA throughout the lifecycle, from identification to closure.
  • Validates complex defect resolutions, conducts root cause analysis, and recommends improvements to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintains QA documentation, testing procedures, and knowledge repositories to support team-wide consistency.


Agile & Scrum Facilitation

  • Serve as the Scrum Master for the team, facilitating agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Champions agile principles, driving adoption across teams and promoting continuous process improvement.
  • Monitors team performance, identifies areas for process improvement, and implements solutions to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
  • Refines the backlog to ensure user stories are clear, testable, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Mentors team members in agile practices, quality processes, and testing methodologies.


Release & Change Management

  • Coordinates release/deployment activities across multiple teams and environments, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
  • Reviews and approves release documentation and change requests, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
  • Executes production deployments to oversee accuracy and execution, providing guidance on rollback or remediation if needed.
  • Drives change management processes by validating documentation, tracking, and reporting to ensure seamless adoption.


Application Development

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of the application portfolio, supporting issue resolution, reporting, and system enhancements.
  • Analyzes complex system behaviors and data to guide decisions, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Documents workflows, configurations, and testing procedures for knowledge sharing and process standardization.
  • Partners with development teams to identify opportunities for automation, quality improvements, and process optimization.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of work experience in quality assurance, manual or automated testing, and agile team environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in Scrum and agile methodologies, with experience facilitating agile ceremonies and backlog refinement
  • Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing tools
  • Proven ability to independently manage tasks, drive initiatives, and guide team members
  • Experience analyzing complex systems and providing actionable recommendations for improvement
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts in user-friendly language
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, including ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Experience with defect tracking and release management tools, such as JIRA, to ensure high-quality software delivery
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, process optimization, and quality standards
  • Ability to withstand prolonged periods sitting at a desk
  • Frequent use of upper extremities to perform keyboard functions and work on a computer
  • Ability to occasionally stand/walk
