General Cashier - Amanpulo

General Cashier – Amanpulo

Role

You will be responsible for managing daily cash transactions, reconciling cash balances, supervising cashier staff, and ensuring compliance with cash handling procedures and financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide the highest standards of cashiering services to hotel guests and ensure utmost accuracy of all cash and credit card transactions
• Ensure all cash floats are in place and replenished in a timely manner
• Account all cash collections retrieved from the cashiers’ vault on a daily basis and reconcile against the cash collections report
• Prepare the official receipts and acknowledgement receipts for all cash and credit card collections
• Prepare the corresponding deposit slips for the previous days’ collections
• Prepare the general cashiers’ daily report and corresponding journal entries for cash and credit card collections and other cash-related journal entries.
• Daily checking of bank transactions/bank statements and tracing all payments received from guests, including coordination with the bank to ensure that all deposits are identified in a timely manner.
• Posting of all collections in Opera.
• Ensure that all credit card settlements have proper authorizations (approval codes) shown on the charge slips and that all requirements in properly filling out the charge slips are followed to avoid complications in case of disputes.
• Monitor all credit card pre-authorization and liaise with guest assistants/front office staff for any deficiencies.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Has considerable number of years of proven experience in cashiering role.
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Effective organizational and time management abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
