Job overview:

Our team has an immediate opening for a mid level (3+ years)/ senior attorney (5 + years experience) for its world-class infrastructure/projects practice in the New York office. Ashurst combines the benefits of a leading infrastructure/projects practice with a supportive and collegiate environment.

• You will interact directly with clients and act with integrity to provide incisive advice to clients, with the support of your colleagues.
• You will have the opportunity to lead the drafting of complex and innovative transaction documentation and negotiate terms on behalf of clients.
• You will take responsibility for day to day matters on complex transactions.
• You will supervise and mentor junior attorneys on the team.
• You will demonstrate excellence in communicating with clients in order to understand their needs and how best to meet them.

Essential skills and experience:

• Strong mid- senior associate with projects/project finance/infrastructure experience gained within private practice or in-house.
• 3 -5 + years of post-qualification experience but open to strong candidates at all levels.
• Preference for candidates with NY admission. Potentially open to international candidates who are willing to sit the New York bar.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills.
• A proactive, positive and energetic approach with a commitment to providing excellent client service, and a desire to build client relationships.

Salary Banding: $260,000 - $420,000 per annum
