Job Title: Tenant Collections Specialist

We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Tenant Collections Specialist to manage rent collections and follow up on delinquent tenant accounts. The ideal candidate has experience in property management collections, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Rent Manager.

This role is responsible for contacting tenants regarding overdue rent, negotiating payment arrangements, documenting collection efforts, and maintaining accurate records within Rent Manager while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow up with tenants regarding past-due rent and outstanding balances
• Make outbound collection calls to tenants in a professional and courteous manner
• Send collection emails, text messages, and payment reminders
• Utilize Rent Manager to review tenant ledgers, monitor delinquencies, and document collection activities
• Negotiate payment plans and follow up on agreed arrangements
• Update tenant notes, payment statuses, and account information in Rent Manager
• Generate and review delinquency and collections reports
• Coordinate with the property management team regarding escalated tenant issues
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of all communications
• Assist with additional administrative tasks related to accounts and collections as needed
  
  
  

• Previous experience in tenant collections, accounts receivable, or property management
• Hands-on experience using Rent Manager is required
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Excellent negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally and empathetically
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel

• Knowledge of delinquency management and payment plan processes
