Job Duties & Expectations

• Preparation of Individual Federal & state tax returns & estimated taxes
• Preparation of Corporate both S & C corporations
• Preparation of Partnership returns
• Fiduciary tax return - a plus but not mandatory
• Preparation and submission of IRS POA form & to retrieve transcripts from IRS
• Assistance in handling tax notices on Federal & State level including certain local tax obligations and filings.
• Assistance in logging into various online tax accounts for to respond to notices and/or to register clients for tax registrations.
• Accountant should be familiar with preparing payroll tax returns using in-house software or thru ADP, Paychex etc.
  
  

Software Requirements

• Lacerte
• Microsoft Word & Excel
• Google drive, Dropbox, Teams and various online portal tools
  
  

Ptet

• Tax accountant should understand PTET and know how to calculate and process PTET payments, estimates & PTET tax returns.
  
  

Communication

• Tax professional should be able to communicate open or missing info needed to complete a tax return and be able to communicate questions clearly to be able to close out a tax return.
• We expect the professional to be organized and follow up with open items.
  
  

Qualifications

• Tax professional preferably a CPA with minimum 5-7 years - tax experience.
  
  

Work Location

• Home-based
• Should have strong internet connection (minimum of 20 mbps)
• Should have own Laptop/PC (minimum of i5 8GB RAM)
